School Success Account Manager

CommonLit is a nonprofit EdTech organization dedicated to providing high-quality literacy instruction to low-income students and students of color to prepare them for success in college and careers. We operate a free online reading and writing program,, that is used by millions of teachers and students monthly. We are a team of passionate professionals — many of whom are former teachers — that has grown very quickly in the past five years, especially since the need for distance learning resources has grown due to the pandemic.

The School Success Account Manager will be responsible for supporting schools and teachers that have adopted the CommonLit 360 curriculum this school year. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of demonstrated success teaching a literacy-based subject (ex: ELA, Social Studies, Reading Intervention) or at least 2 years of demonstrated success in a role working for other literacy-based organizations or instructional programs. The ideal candidate should be very skilled at managing multiple projects at once. At this point in the school year, the School Success Account Manager can expect to jump right into supporting current schools and districts. They will be responsible for analyzing usage data and proactively troubleshooting technical and instructional challenges to ensure our partners fully and effectively implement CommonLit 360 and other components of our digital reading program. This person will also play a large role in recruiting new partner schools and districts this spring/summer and onboarding schools at the start of next school year.

We are looking for a candidate that has excellent writing and oral communication skills, experience managing multiple high-priority projects at once, a willingness to take on multiple roles, and a hunger to learn quickly.
